The Ring

The birth control ring is a super thin, plastic ring that you insert into the vagina for 3 weeks. During the 4th week you take it out, and your period happens. Then the cycle repeats itself. The ring can be up to 99% effective when used right. It works a lot like the pill, except instead of taking a pill, the hormones are inside the ring and the body absorbs those hormones when the ring is inside the vagina.

Super important detail: The ring is not going to get lost anywhere in your body! You may get some spotting, and you might even get lighter periods with less cramping. This does not protect against sexy germs (STIs).
