You can choose to become a parent. No matter how old you are, you can be a good parent. That doesn’t mean you have to do it all alone, support is the key. One way to be supported is through the help of Child and Family Services (CFS). Every female under age 18 who is pregnant gets help from CFS; if you don’t initially call them when you become pregnant, they will eventually call you. Why wait? The sooner they know the sooner they can provide support through lots of different kind of resources. If you call CFS yourself, it also shows how responsible you are, which is key to being a good parent. It’s possible that some people in your life may not agree with your decision, but just remember it’s your decision to make.
